Task 1d: 2d images

This is the first task I have done and I thought I should do it as it seems quite a simple process to go through. I have created a flicker account which to my surprise didn't take that long. With social networking and photo streaming the setting up of accounts can sometimes be a lengthy process, however this was relatively easier.

I have uploaded various photos like a headshot, action shot photos and backstage stuff for a bit of fun. I have worked in a variety of jobs and tried to show this within the photos. I feel that I've picked good photons that reflect my career, varied and fun.

I hope you like...

Task 1d complete. I seem to be on a roll....how long I can keep rolling for no one know!!!

Until next time... X x x

  1. Hi Ashleigh!

    I'm originally from Somerset too!

Has the link to you Flickr account copied properly? It's not blue, and I am unable to just click it to see your photos.

    Take care

  2. Hi Ashleigh,

well done for getting your Blog posts rolling ...

I though the Flickr images and profile are both good. You can always add and refine these in the light of what others do. Its fine to emulate others.

Also worth saying why you have decided to do things in the way that you have. This helps you to evaluate quality for yourself.

Keep commenting to others as this will attract more comments to your posts.

Now you are up and running, focus on interacting with others and developing a critical eye on what you and others post.

    well done!

  3. Hi Melanie,

    Good posts.

I though the Professional communications technology and ethical considerations was particularly good. You balance the advantages and potential risks well. This is the kind of academic practice we are trying to encourage and that will lead you to better and deeper insights. Good work.

Keep commenting to others as this will attract more comments to your posts and keep working on those critical thinking skills, questioning as much as you can.

  4. Hi Ashleigh

I hope you're getting on okay with the course and are just busy as I've noticed you haven't posted anything for a while.

Following on from my previous comment I have discovered how to make the link 'work'. If when you are writing your post you click on the 'link' tab on your tool bar (where all the fonts and thinks are) you will be able to paste the link into the 'web address' section and then call it what ever you like. This makes it easier for users as they just have to click on it to go through to things you are linking, rather than copy and paste.

On a separate note, I thought it might be helpful if everyone added the 'subscribe via email' option to their blog? You can find this in the 'layout' section of your blogger clicking on 'add a gadget' (I've put mine above my profile) and then choosing the 'subscribe via email' gadget. I thought this could save us all time as rather than checking everyday to see what's new, we would get an email telling us someone has a new blog topic. Just a thought! I'm going to post this to everyone.
